How do I set up my API key?
Open Agent Mac from the menu bar, go to Settings, and paste your API key for Anthropic, OpenAI, or configure your local Ollama endpoint. Keys are stored securely in your macOS Keychain.
Which AI providers are supported?
Agent Mac supports Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, and Ollama (for local models). You can switch between providers at any time.
Is my data sent to your servers?
No. Agent Mac runs entirely on your Mac. API requests go directly from your machine to your chosen AI provider. We have no servers that process your data.
What macOS version do I need?
Agent Mac requires macOS 14.0 Sonoma or later, on either Apple Silicon or Intel Macs.
macOS says the app can't be opened
Right-click the app and select "Open" to bypass Gatekeeper on first launch. The app is notarized by Apple and is safe to run.
How do I uninstall Agent Mac?
Drag Agent Mac from your Applications folder to the Trash. To remove all data, also delete ~/Library/Application Support/Agent Mac.
What does the beta launch offer include?
The £9.99 beta offer gives you lifetime access to the current version of Agent Mac with all features. Future major upgrades or in-app purchases may be priced separately.
Can I see what the agent is doing?
Yes — full transparency is a core principle. Every action the agent takes (file reads, commands, web browsing, decisions) is visible to you in real time.
